yesterday i watched one of my sister's rented DVDs - Interview with a Vampire. it's based on a book by Anne Rice, who also wrote Queen of the Damned which was also made into a movie(Aaliyah?the singer who played the female lead?she died in a plane crash after she finished shooting the movie.so...tragic.)anyway Interview with a Vampire has a star-studded cast, though i doubt they were as star-studded in 1994 when the movie was screened as they are now.Brad Pitt,Tom Cruise,Antonio Banderas,Christian Slater and Kirsten Dunst. Tom Cruise is actually not bad-looking in the movie.at least, when he wasn't covered with green scaly thingies or was burnt to vampire mignon. Brad Pitt looks as,er,good as now? except without the few wrinkles and maybe he was less muscular back then.and when Antonio appeared all I could think was, ooh,Zorro with long hair.but he plays a vampire from Gay Paree in the movie of course. And Kirsten Dunst was of course only 12 years old then, but she looked about the same as she does now.her face hasn't changed at all.kind of creepy.she got to hug Brad and Tom in the movie.she was the tragic part of the movie 'cos after becoming a vampire she can never grow up.and in the end, well, she got toasted by the sun, right in the arms of her mother by adoption who also was a vampire. But i don't quite understand her character relationship with Brad's character.ahh weird.anyway probably later i am going to watch Be With You,which my sis rented too.it's supposed to be this very sad sentimental fuzzy mushy movie.
